Woodberry, who was arrested along with Hushpuppi, has hired a top lawyer who is based in Chicago, Michael Nash, to defend him over fraudulent charges levelled against him.
The 29-year-old is currently in Nigerian along with his close pal, Hushpuppi standing trial for multiple fraud charges. They were arrested in Dubai on June and extradited to America early this month.
According to Premium Times, Woodberry has in for someone whom he trust can defend him very in court which will lead to his release. Mr Nash is said to have Attorney Appearance form for Woodberry on July 8.
Mr Nash specialises in Criminal Defense and has a wealth of experience having been practising for the past 55 years.
His first major task will be to secure bail for Woodberry when they appear in court on Thursday.
Woodberry is facing charges bordering on wire fraud Conspiracy at a United States District Court sitting in Illinois. If found guilty he will spend the next 20-30 years in jail.
