A 21-year old lady accidentally kills her own brother who happens to be a police officer with his own gun at Chantan, a suburb of Accra
The incidence happened when the lady paid a visit to her brother who was getting ready for work. According to the lady who is named Shakirah Nasir allegedly picked up her brother’s gun to hand it over to him as he is about to leave for work but unfortunately, the trigger went off killing the officer instantly.
Elder sister of the deceased one Abubakar Habibatu who heard the sound of the gunshot, from her brother’s room and saw him lying on the floor unconscious. She later rushed him to Lapas Community Hospital for treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body of the deceasded has been deposisted at the morgue, pending further investatagions.
