Kofi Kinaata has finally released his version on the Verna Active mineral water as he drops some heavy barz on this new song.

Verna Active is a new mineral water in the system which is doing well in terms of giving you a healthy living and more strenght.

In the recent weeks, top musicians like Strongman, Eno Barony , Flowking Stone ,Etc. dropped their verses on this Energy drink as they all confirmed about it activeness.

And finally ,the Fante rap god Kofi Kinaata has also released his version which is very dope.

Watch and Listen below.

An up-close interview with Donzy Chaka by DJ Shyno of cheers FM, has shed more light on the life and journey of the young artiste, whose real name is Elias Ewusi Essel. He is mostly known for his nice tunes such as; Club, Crusade, lockdown and more.

He started as a Dj, which kindled his interest in music. Along the line, he decided to make his own music, which saw him joining the Rap university, a Sarkodie initiated movement. It was Sarkodie’s way of helping him and other rising artistes to make it in the industry. Being a Tema based guy, he fraternized with the likes of Sarkodie and some of the other Tema based artistes, and that’s how he and Sarkodie became close friends.

Speaking about his relationship with Kofi Kinaata, he said they are very good friends and they met at a friend’s studio during his days as a Polytechnic student in Takoradi. They were both good at what they did so it did not take long for a close friendship to bud. It is clear that these close friends share the uniqueness of having clean lyrical contents, their songs are appealing and make sense.

He also spoke a little about how he sacrificed his comfort to help his friend Kinaata, who seemed to have been strapped for cash during the Made in Tadi show. Kinaata personally thanked Donzy because he gave up his privilege of flying from Accra to Takoradi to lessen his financial burden. They play almost every show together.

Donzy Chaka made it evident in his speech that, he does not take being signed to a record label lightly. The contract has to make thorough sense to him before he signs, so regardless whose label it is, even if it’s his friend Sarkodie’s, it would have to be to a certain standard before he signs unto it. This is why, he has decided not to sign any artiste unto his DC movement and record label until he’s sure of delivering the best. For now, he helps promote some new artistes.

Nothing discourages Donzy Chaka, not even internet trolls, and he advised everyone to rise up through their challenges, but not take the easy way out, which is usually the wrong way.

His new song “Odehyie”, which features Fameye, has potent lyrics that tell the story of many people. The first verse of the song apparently is about himself. The lyrics are relatable, and I’m sure it will soon become a favourite of most Ghanaians. A video is to be released soon.

Western Region has a very strong history in terms of music in Ghana. Apart from been the region with lots of rich natural resources, it could be counted as one region with the most successful musicians.

Over the years, very great musicians have emerged from the region. From the era of the late Paapa Yankson, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, CK Man, Safohene Gyeni, Kofi Bentil, Paulina Oduro to the era of now missing Castro, Nhyiraba Kojo, Pappy Kojo, Kofi Kinaata just to mention few, it is fair to say the region has been blessed with an avalanche of talents.
These current crop of musicians from the region are doing incredibly well with their crafts. Fast forward, we bring to you the list of the current top musicians from the region. This ordered list is based on the Artiste’s hit songs, performances and fan base in the year 2019.

1. Kofi Kinaata
Undoubtedly, Kofi Kinaata is currently the biggest musician from the Western Region and currently one of the biggest and most sought after musicians in Ghana. Born Martin King Arthur from Effiakuma – Takoradi, Kofi Kinaata has a very rich repertoire since he burst onto the scene with his hit single Susuka. The Fante rap God did not look back after releasing Susuka and has served Ghanaians with back to back hits.

Aside from producing hits, Kofi Kinaata is praised by his deep lyrical prowess and has earned praises from a wide section of Ghanaians including Pastors and top politicians.
Kofi Kinaata’s songs Adam and Eve and Things Fall Apart which were all released in 2019 were instant hits. Things fall apart still a hit. That song alone got Kofi Kinaata uncountable shoes across the length and breadth of the country.

In 2019 alone Kofi Kinaata mounted performed over 30 different shows and crowned it all with his much anticipated and biggest concert in the Western Region Made in Tadi concert.

Talking of features, Kofi Kinaata featured over twenty artistes in 2019, thus making him a strong force to reckon with as far as music in the Western Region is concerned.

2. Fameye
Fameye’s roots are traced between Bogoso and Esiama all in the Western Region. Fameye’s major breakthrough happened in 2019 after releasing Nothing I Get even though had been around for a while.

His songs include Destiny, Chairman, Mate, Thank God It’s Friday and lots more.
Fameye has been a very strong force in the Ghanaian music industry since then and has performed on almost all the biggest platforms and events held in the country. Aside, the local shows, Fameye has held shows in Germany, Italy Amsterdam, Belgium, France and other major European countries.

Fameye has a very big fan base in Ghana especially in the Western Region as he is referred to by people around Bogoso and Tarkwa as “The Golden Boy.
He is by a mile expected to win the best new artiste at this year’s VGMA following his exploits in 2019.

3. Nero X
Joseph Nkrumah Buabeng known in showbiz circles as Nero X is undoubtedly one of the best inspirational singers in the country. Of course, lots of people expect Nero X to have done better with his career than he has so far achieved but trust me, Nero X has not done badly at all.

After gaining stardom with his breakthrough song Osey, The man from Takoradi – Lagos Town has released countless hits. The likes of Yawa Dey, Hosanna, Nyame Dadaw, Nyimpa Nua and lots more.

Apparently, Nero X did not release many songs in 2019 as we have known him as he dropped Oy3 Normal and Be Thankful.

He has over 40 good songs to his credit and this tells you he a serious-minded musician.

Nero X performed on a number of platforms in Ghana and embarked on an European tour in 2019 performing in Germany, France, Austria, Czech Republic, United Kingdom and very a very good performer of live band shows he really shows his class and worth.

4. Don Kweli
Don Kweli is one of the biggest musicians in the Western Region and deserves this spot. The man from Axim has a very big fan base called Kwelity fans and he is the biggest Artiste Nzema and has already cemented his place as one of Nzema’s greatest. He is praised for his unique songwriting geniusness.

His song Kundum fever has been the official song for the celebration of Kundum in Nzema since its release in 2015 and till date, Don Kweli has released over 25 songs.
Known in private life as Raphael Eshun, the Nzema based musician’s Akasi was much praised for its uniqueness and received massive airplay across the country.

He also featured Kofi Kinaata on Happy Life and the song happens to be one of the most played songs in the Region and most parts of the country.

Apparently, it will be a ‘no show’ if Don Kweli does not perform at your musical concert held on Nzemaland as event organisers get their shows boycotted by his very loyal Kwelity fans.
2019 was a very good year for Don Kweli as he played 26 shows within Ghana and headlined a very big musical concert in Ivory Coast.

5. Ayesem
This guy is one of Western Region’s most cherished musicians. Prior to his breakthrough, Ayesem was a very talented rapper and survived lots of rap battles within the Oil City.
His debut breakthrough single, Koti shot him to fame and he has remained consistent by releasing very beautiful songs such as Dede, Envy, Kokotii, Against and lots more.

Stephen Kwabena Siaw is the artiste with most Awards at Western Music Awards having won a total of eight awards in three years and currently the Western Region’s Artiste of the year.

Ayesem is also a winner of Ghana Music Awards(UK) Uncovered Art Artiste of the year and has mounted several platforms within and outside Takoradi.

The former member of 2 Units group which comprised of himself and Nero X is undoubtedly a titan so far as music is concerned in the Western Region.
