Just as expected and has been the case in the last two decades the Ghana Music Awards have been organized, the talk about controversies surrounding this year’s awards is yet to end.
Following the level of shock exhibited by some incasdustry players, music lovers, and social media users after Lynx Entertainment’s Kuami Eugene was announced as the ‘Artiste Of The Year’ at the 21st annual awards ceremony, a Twitter user who claims to have some proof that there was some foul play has come out with it to expose the rather shambolic voting process of the scheme.
The Twitter user who tweets at the handle @The17th_Century claims the award is nothing but a scam taken into account how a vote he cast for Medikal in the Artiste of the Year category was ‘stolen’ and given to Kuami Eugene in a rather shocking way.
Taking to his Twitter timeline, he wrote: “I personally voted for Medikal through sms buh they replied me saying…Congratulations you have successfully voted for Kuami Eugene as artiste of the year”
